Patient Participation Group
The first meeting of the GLS Patient Participation Group was held at the surgery.
Present at that initial meeting were Dr Slade, Val Jardine (Reception Manager) and 7 patients who had expressed an interest in forming and joining such a group. Their age ranged from 20 to 66 including employed, un-employed and retired people.
The aim of the GLS Patient Participation Group is to discuss various topics of importance to patients and their care at Glovers Lane Surgery, and to provide a means of feeding information back to the practice.
At this initial meeting comments were made on the following areas:
Could the surgery provide TV or music in the waiting room
The confidential window is not confidential at all - it's very easy to be overheard in the waiting room
Could the surgery consider re-opening on Saturday mornings
The waiting room chairs are uncomfortable
Will it be possible to book appointments and prescriptions online
Loss of the clinic nurse in Netherton Health Centre
If you click on the questions you will be taken to the surgery responses.
