Obviously this will cause our patients concern but we remind you that there are MANY other ways of obtaining medical advice.
Think - do you actually need an appointment ... prescription requests and updated sick notes can be done via this website, the surgery app (available in the ITunes store & on Google Play), they can also be done if you pass a written request in at reception.
Our local pharmacies offer a great resource for medical advice. The walk in centre at Litherland Town Hall not only has very experienced nurse practitioners but also GPs for the more complex cases.
We have lots of self help information on this very website if you look under the Health Links tab at the top of the page, similar advice is also on the surgery app.
The NHS provides a telephone advice service just by ringing 111 or check out the NHS Choices website at www.nhs.uk
Plainly if you feel you have a medical emergency call the surgery and one of the GPs will call you back to assess the most suitable course of action.
